Sections
There are three sections at SSM responsible for advice and supervision: Geo-engineering, Engineering and Operations.
Geo-engineering
concerns all mining processes taking place beneath the surface: field development and maintaining activities on termination of mining.
Engineering
is concerned with the construction and major modifications, but also for the abandonment of the site and the removal of mining equipment. In addition, Engineering is also concerned with supervising the safety of gas transportation.
Operations
is responsible for the supervision of exploratory work, drilling and eventual production and maintenance.
The organisation is characterised by a flat structure. From bottom to top there are three levels: employee, head of section and head of service.
